Create Artwork for Pabst Blue Ribbon's Art Can Contest 2022
To celebrate the 10th Can Art Contest, Pabst Blue Ribbon's brief for this edition was that the designs should be inspired by the free spirit of LIC and done in only 2 Pantone colors, blue and white. However, the aluminum of the can could appear in the art if it had transparent or silver parts (i.e. no paint used where the aluminum will be appearing in the art).
About the project
Thinking outside the can, I created two artworks for the contest.
Taking into consideration the history of the PBR brand that originated in Milwaukee in 1844 and went through so many events, one of them would be the history of the blue ribbon on the bottle due to winning competition awards and also for being one of the first breweries that put beer in cans around 1935.
