THE WATER
The Story
I am the Miraflores River. But before being a river, I was a small puddle of water.
I am the Miraflores River. But before being a river, I was a small puddle of water.
I was born in the middle of many stones and pebbles, in a mountain range so high, so high that it almost touched the sky, that's why it's called Serra do Céu (Sky Mountain).
With the help of the rain from the winters I grew, growing, growing... and jumping from rock to rock.
I walked a lot. On my banks have always grown many colorful flowers watered by me. I like them very much and admire them all the time, so they call me Miraflores.
I also like the children very much. I have fun when on hot days they come to me to play.
I like to go under the bridges and take boats full of people with me to get to know other lands and together we reach the sea.
Briefing:
Ilustra portrays a story made by children from the project Histórias da Ajudaris with the theme of the year 2022, which is the Water.
It is a volunteer project for the ngo Ajudaris of Portugal - which aims to promote reading, writing, art and solidarity, in partnership with the Educational Establishments Solidarity!
For this story I chose to draw in flat design style with cheerful colors that reflect nature.
